Really liked this. It lost me a little at the end, with its isms and reverence for Christianity, but the core of the book and its accounts of collective megaprojects of the recent past genuinely made me feel something, as well as giving insight. Their closing suggestion that there are ‘no limits to growth’ and that there is hyperabundance of energy and everything we need if we’re just smart enough to unlock it, is not wholly convincing. But I was convinced by the core message that human ingenuity is ultimately the solution to almost every problem we face.
