Storm's Edge

I think one thing I have been subconsciously thinking about all while listening to this, is the way the roots of whatever the prevailing government or upper society are never really go that deep, and in the everyday life of people, the ancient customs passed down to them continue on, often in secret or at least unnoticed by the wider world. It’s obviously more pronounced in somewhere like Orkney, but I think it’s the case to a lesser extent everywhere.

On the whole, it was quite thought provoking in places, and the narrator was very good, but at times it did also feel like I was listening to a 300 year history of the dealings of a local parish council.
